Aisling Bea

Aisling is a well-known Irish comedian, who's been performing for a long time. Born in Kildare, Ireland on the 16th of March 1984. She has been on QI with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) who is also known by the name Aisling bea, is an Irish comedian actor, writer and director. After appearing in bit parts in a variety of Irish and British TV shows from 2009, Bea was able to begin her career as a stand-up comic in the year 2011. The comedian began to appear frequently on sketch comedy shows and sitcoms later in the year. The actress began to appear regularly in panel shows following the win of an award for The Edinburgh Comedy Awards. In 2016 and 2017, she was part of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team and also a part-time participant in the 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown spinoff. She was the daughter of Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister named Sinead. In 2012 she won the So You Believe You're Funny Award twice. Bea, her maiden name, pays tribute to her father who passed away. Aisling Cliodhnadh, born the 16th of March, 1984, in Kildare Town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian who was an equine vet who took his own life at the age of three when Bea turned three was the victim of self-harm. The news of his passing at 13 years old. The stage name she chose was Bea in honor of her deceased father. Bea also wrote an article for The Guardian on her family's suicide experience. Bea as well as her sister Sinead were raised by their mother Helen (nee Moloney) a secondary school teacher, jockey trainer, and professional jockey for a time. The family was in love with racing and horses. Bea began her career as a tour guide at the Irish National Stud. However Bea knew early that racing was not for her.
